FABPs(Fatty acid-binding proteins) introduction
Fatty acid-binding proteins (FABPs) belongs to amultigene family which of transportproteins for fatty acids and other lipophilic substances such as eicosanoids and retinoids. Some are responsible in the modulation of cell growth and proliferation.FABP salso be thought to participate in the uptake, intracellular metabolism and/ortransport of long-chain fatty acids and their acyl-CoA esters.
